Lit Method: A Digital Solution that Redefines Wellness with Innovation

Lit Method, founded by Justin & Taylor Norris, was established in 2015 and is based in Los Angeles, CA. They provide low-impact exercise equipment, digital fitness platforms, and recovery tools.

Client requirements

LitMethod is a fitness brand that delivers low-impact training combining personal training, physical therapy, and injury prevention. They have a patented Lit Strength Machine, which supports more than 500 exercises, paired with the LIT on-demand app for coaching. They came to us to create a functional, responsive website and a mobile app that works across platforms. They wanted their services to be accessible to users, enabling them to improve their health and fitness through the website’s and app’s interactive features.

Project Goals and Objectives

As a fitness brand, LitMethod wanted to reach more users with a functional cross-platform mobile app. They wanted to add all the features, including personal training, physical therapy, along with coaching, streaming, and performance tracking. They required a clean UI/UX design, along with website and mobile competency. We used proprietary fitness hardware to create a formidable Lit strength machine that provides a smooth user experience.

The client faced several challenges with the app's responsiveness and UI/UX design. We ensured the app was scalable and could be opened across platforms. Our challenge was to integrate multiple features into the app to deliver a smooth user experience.

Branding Limitations

The branding issues were evident in the LitMethod app, where they wanted to create a prominent brand identity that resonates with clients. Our aim was to create iOS and Android apps with streaming and tracking features. We also strived to create a unique brand identity that differentiates the app from others.

There were already various fitness apps that offered the same features to their users. We worked on platforms to make the website more recognizable. We also focused on UI/UX development to make the app much smoother and more user-friendly.

Research and Insights

User Research Findings

To ensure providing solutions aligned with real user needs, we conducted structured user research. Our team conducted stakeholder interviews, analytics review, usability audits, and competitor benchmarking. Here are some findings of our research:

  • Users were struggling to navigate to the different app sections due to unclear information.
  • Though we developed the app for web and mobile devices, mobile users faced certain challenges, which we promptly fixed.
  • High drop-off rates created friction in the conversion journey.
  • Users preferred quick access to pricing, features, and trust signals before making contact decisions.

These findings helped us prioritize simplicity, clarity, and conversion-focused development.

01
Conversion-First Architecture

We restructured the app to reduce user friction and guide visitors through an interactive and clear decision-making flow.

02
Mobile-First Design Approach

Since the majority of users accessed the platform on mobile devices, we designed wireframes based on smaller-screen experiences.

03
Simplified Content Hierarchy

We prioritized scannable layouts, strong headings, and visual segmentation. This helped us reduce cognitive load.

04
Trust-Centered UX

We integrated testimonials, case results, certifications, and client logos strategically throughout the journey.

05
Performance & Speed Optimization

Given high bounce rates on slow-loading sections, we implemented performance enhancements to improve loading times.
